Here are our awesome Neosens Floral Sandals in Green! All of our shoes and sandals from Neosens were handmade in Spain and are super comfortable. I tend to be wary of ankle straps because they can feel like they are cutting into your foot, but these feel like they’re giving your ankle a big hug! The shoes have a floral cutout detail on the front.

H by Hudson TansyThe “Tansy” from H by Hudson is an obvious style stand-out from our Spring collections. The design is avant-garde and the 3″ heel is totally reasonable. I can wear these all day!

 

H by Hudson Tansy in Gray Black at Bulo ShoesTansy is available in Tan or Gray-Black dip-dyed leathers. Each shoe is dipped in a vat of dye by hand, resulting in totally unique colors and textures!

 

Several of our Hudson shoes (including Tansy) are dip-dyed. The adorable H by Hudson Compton in Bordeaux is one of my favorites!

Gidigio’s Totally Unique Italian Ankle Boots!

Yesterday we featured some great sandals from Italian shoemaker Gidigio. Today, Ashley is modeling Gidigio’s unique and comfortable ankle booties. The best thing about this style is the functional laces — something you don’t usually see on a pair of slip-on boots! This is a style that works for many different foot shapes because it is so adjustable across the instep.

 

 

This style looks great with almost any cut of pants, but we also think it looks pretty cool with a casual skirt or dress. The neutral color of this style makes it a great choice for wearing every day.

Beautiful Italian Sandals from Gidigio

One of our current Spring styles that has been getting lots of attention is the Gidigio F013 Sandal, a buttery soft leather sandal on a low, comfortable heel. Gidigio creates the type of shoes that made Italian footwear famous many years ago: stylish, timeless and well made. This gorgeous sandal is also available in a flattering taupe color:

These are one of the most comfortable heels in the store, but we are finding that they do run a bit small. We recommend ordering a half size larger than you usually wear for the best fit.

Window Shopping in Milan’s Brera Neighborhood

It may not surprise you to hear that everything in Milan seems well thought out, design-wise. Even this tiny boutique (above) selling nothing but silk scarves manages to display them in a very creative way — dozens of mismatched cut pipes climb up the entire back wall of the store.

 

 

This may look like a computer-generated image, but this is an unedited photograph of another Brera shop window, this store specializing in plastic furniture and home accessories. Could you imagine having a dining room illuminated by black lights? Only in Milan!

 

 

This store had a green theme going on, so of course we had to snap a picture (green is Bulo’s signature color)! In addition to these soda bottles, there were martini, champagne and beer glasses scattered among the clothing in this store, filled with green liquid. Strange but beautiful!

 

 

Milan is one of the fashion capitals of the world, so it didn’t surprise to see this rug store with belted carpet “dresses” in their window. Below, there was a large sign that read “East Meets West.” Indeed!

What Would You Wear Your Espadrilles With?

Hi! I’m Ashley, the newest member of the Bulo family! This is a picture of me modeling some super comfy El Naturalista Flats. This style is inspired by traditional espadrilles from Spain, but with a long-lasting all leather construction. El Naturalista footwear is handmade in La Rioja, Spain. As you can see, they pair well with tights on a cool day, or you can wear them barefoot on a warm sunny day. They also come in a very nice dark brown color!

How perfect are these with my printed Maxi dress?

These past few days in the Bay Area have been so warm and pleasant! It’s the perfect time to break out those summer dresses and cute shorts.

The platforms featured above, 2032, are from one of our new lines from Italy. Riviera makes their shoes on the coast of Italy in the town of Rimini. These summery sandals reflect the resort style town and beach side culture. Not only are these sandals cute, but they’re super light-weight and comfortable. I can see myself wearing at work with my summer dresses and crop pants! We also have this style in a soft grey, and a similar t-strap style in black.

These higher platform wedges from Riviera are pretty fantastic! Even though they are 4 inches tall, there’s a 1 3/4″ platform in the front, making the incline only 2 1/4″. So you get all the height without a severe incline, sounds great to me! These are definitely wedges you can walk everywhere in. The amazing wedges come in black (shown) and Platinum (my personal favorite).

These platform wedges from Riviera look and feel amazing in person, stop by the store soon because they’re going fast!

New Handsome Shoes from Jo Ghost!

Enrico Wearing the Newest Jo Ghost Oxford and Ozone's "Dots to Dots" socks.

Jo Ghost has been a Bulo favorite for many years. The designer of these fantastic shoes is from New York, but the collection is handmade in Italy. Jo Ghost is known for extraordinary craftsmanship and quality materials. We’ve shipped their shoes and boots to men all over the world.

Above Enrico is wearing the Jo Ghost 1375 in a warm tan color. This shoe features a natural colored sole, so it can be dressed down. I personally think they look great with dark denim, like Enrico is wearing. However because this shoe has clean lines, and a classic shape the 1375 can be worn with a light colored or brown suit. . A customer tried them on with his brown slacks, and they looked great! Enrico paired these great oxfords with our favorite socks, Dots to Dots,  from Ozone! The brown version (which we also have) was featured in the New York Times! We also have this shoe in a dark gray color.

During Fall we had the boot above in black, and it sold like crazy! In fact , we never had a small enough size in the store long enough to blog about. Featured above is the new grey 1224 for spring. This boot hits just above the ankle and is made of soft supple washed grey leather. While the buttons are functional, there is an inside zipper for easy access. Due to its huge success, we are bringing back this boot in black, so hopefully it will be here in the next few weeks. This is one of my all time favorite boots for men, it’s beautiful and comfortable, what more can you ask for? Get here early, we’ve sold a few already, and I’m sure it will be just as popular this Spring!
